Refund Policy

We aim to be straightforward about money. This page explains how cancellations and refunds work at Spylist, and which statutory rights apply where.
1. Cancel Anytime
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard — one click, no calls, no emails. Cancellation:
- Takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Stops all future renewals.
- Leaves your account active until the end of the period you've paid for — you keep full access until then.
2. Trials
We may offer a 3-day trial for $1. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged the full plan price. After the trial, your selected plan starts automatically and is non-refundable per the general policy below.
3. General Refund Policy
Spylist subscriptions are non-refundable. Once a billing period (monthly or yearly) starts, we do not issue partial or full refunds for unused time. This applies whether you stop using the Service, change your mind, or cancel after the renewal date.
We make this trade-off so we can keep prices low and the trial accessible: the 3-day trial gives you a chance to evaluate the Service before committing.
4. Statutory Rights for EU/EEA Consumers
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU).
Because Spylist is a digital service that you can use immediately after purchase, this right ends as soon as we begin providing the Service with your express consent and acknowledgment that you lose the right of withdrawal upon doing so. By starting your trial or subscription you provide that consent and acknowledgment.
If you have not yet started using the Service after subscribing, you may withdraw within 14 days of payment by emailing support@spyli.st with the subject “Withdrawal” and your account email. We will refund you in full to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your request.
This statutory right does not apply to consumers domiciled outside the EU/EEA, including Swiss consumers, where no equivalent cooling-off period exists for digital services.
5. Disputed Charges
If you believe you have been charged in error (e.g. duplicate charge, unauthorized renewal after cancellation), email us at support@spyli.st within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and refund any charges found to be incorrect.
6. Account Termination
If we terminate your account for a violation of our Terms of Service (e.g. abuse, fraud, sharing credentials, scraping the Service), no refund is due.
If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will refund the prorated unused portion of any active prepaid annual subscription.
7. How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are processed through Polar, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Funds are returned to the original payment method. Bank processing times typically add 5-10 business days on top of our processing time.
